Open Access & Copyright

The JCJD (Journal of Crime & Justice Dissertations) makes use of a Creative Commons Open Access licence (“OA Content”). For OA Content, the permitted terms of use and reuse are set out in the respective Creative Commons licence. The JCJD applies the CC-BY license to each of the dissertations published on its online platform. When authors sign a JCJD publication release, they agree to the terms within this license.

This licence allows others to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format. Material can be adapted in a range of ways: remixed, transformed, and built upon for any purpose, even commercially. It is an appropriate license for the JCJD because of its focus on monographs (dissertations) and because it provides scope for users to create derivative works of the online version to the benefit of all academia.
