University Membership Subscriptions
Non-Members
Published works will benefit from Diamond Open-Access (free for students to submit, free for the public to access).
Non-member Universities can submit 1 student dissertation per year to the JCJD (first come first serve starting at the opening of the intake cycle / summer).
All non-member universities must put forward 1 staff member for the JCJD Executive Committee.

Standard Membership

Standard Member Universities can submit up to 10 student dissertations per year to the JCJD (first come first serve starting at the opening of the intake cycle / summer).
All member university Executive Committee members are eligible for an honorarium for participating in the JCJD inspection process.
Published student work will be considered for the annual JCJD Prize.
Participating Executive Committee members will be considered for recognition awards.
All Standard Member universities must put forward 1 staff member for the JCJD Executive Committee.
£300 (annually)
Special Patron Membership
Published works will benefit from Diamond Open-Access (free for students to submit, free for the public to access).
Special Patron Member Universities can submit 20 students dissertation per year to the JCJD (first come first serve starting at the opening of the intake cycle / summer).
All member university Executive Committee members are eligible for an honorarium for participating in the JCJD inspection process.
Published student work will be considered for the annual JCJD Prize.
Participating Executive Committee members will be considered for recognition awards.
There is no obligation for Special Patron Member universities to put forward staff to serve on the Executive Committee.

How does membership work?
In order for the JCJD to be financially sustainable, it requires subscriptions to be paid by those universities that forward their students' work to us. Student/authors do not make any payment; readers also do not make payment to access published JCJD works (this model is known as diamond open-access). Typically, those who lead the payment of such subscriptions are Executive Committee members or the Dean, Head of Department or Principal Lecturer of a given university.
Regardless of the membership status of a student/author's university, their work will be scrutinised against the same criteria and undergo the same inspection process as any other work.
